Smidge Smirks Tee™ — New Home Issue catches Smidge doing what Smidge does best: exploring somewhere he probably should not be exploring alone.

The Smirks have moved into a new home, and while the rest of the family settles in, Smidge has already wandered deep into its darker corners.

There, surrounded by candlelight, running water, forgotten objects, and the strange things the house has apparently kept for itself, he makes a discovery.

Georgie’s arm.

Smidge does not recoil from it.

He picks it up.

The front captures him standing in the middle of unfamiliar territory, holding the arm and examining it with the kind of curiosity that makes it difficult to tell whether he has found evidence, a warning, or simply something interesting to bring upstairs.

That is Smidge.

The unfamiliar does not automatically frighten him. It makes him want to look closer.

The reverse carries The Smirks family mark, tying his solitary exploration back to the house he belongs to, while the sleeve detail adds the phrase “From Insult to Injury.”

New Home Issue records one of Smidge’s first discoveries after the family moves in.

Most children explore a new home by choosing a bedroom.

Smidge started somewhere else.

Artifact Meaning

Smidge Smirks Tee™ represents curiosity without the usual instinct to retreat.

Smidge enters unfamiliar territory alone and responds to what he finds by examining it rather than escaping from it.

Georgie’s arm becomes more than a gruesome discovery. It establishes how Smidge interacts with the strange world around him.

Where another child might see danger, Smidge sees something that deserves a closer look.

The surrounding tunnels, water, candlelight, and abandoned objects turn the family’s new home into territory still waiting to reveal what it contains.

The Smirks mark on the reverse brings that exploration back to family identity: whatever Smidge finds beneath the house, he is exploring it as a Smirks.

New Home Issue records the moment unfamiliar territory begins becoming his own.

Governing Principle:

Curiosity goes where fear refuses to look.
